Spiritual Bootcamp

Hope Chapel, Maui, Hawaii

On Saturday, March 8th approximately 200 women gathered at Hope Chapel on the beautiful island of Maui for a Spiritual Boot Camp! The theme was beautifully and professionally executed thanks to the work of Marlene Rice who has experience as a Christian TV producer and event planner. Camo décor from the National Guard and an auditorium full of women expecting God to show up provided a charged atmosphere ready for the Lord to come!
One woman waiting on the steps for the event to begin expressed her anticipation saying, "God told me to come!"

Keynote Session

Linda's keynote presentation revealed the urgency of subjecting our agendas to God's as the stories of Daniel, Esther and even Deborah illustrate so dramatically. The women responded tenderly in a time of ministry, waving linen scarves as God moved on their hearts to the point of surrendering personal agendas.

Breakout Session

Heidi Fields (pic at left) taught a session on God's love and how we should not equate God's love for us with our circumstances. She powerfully communicated truths equipping the women to trust God's love, no matter what may come. The message was timely because soon after the event, a key leader in the church, loved by so many, has now been diagnosed with acute leukemia. Please keep Pastor Kit Lauer and his family in your prayers.

Dance Ministry

One of the highlights of the event was a special Hawaiian dance performed by Coleen Nomura, former lead dancer and choreographer for Don Ho's Dance Team. Her powerful ministry in dance to "Rise Again" moved many women to the core. She stopped her dance to speak the word of the Lord burning in her heart: "The Lord says, 'I believe in you. Why won't you believe in yourself?'

The event, bathed in prayer and carried out under the Lord's leadership, held many divine appointments which transpired throughout the day. One woman Linda prayed over was seeking direction and strength for her next life assignment; she was obviously ready to go where-ever the Lord would send her. Within minutes of this prayer, she came back with tears in her eyes saying she had just received a phone call informing her of the sudden death of her brother-in-law. She would go immediately and minister to her sister in California, who had been closed to the gospel and was now in great need. This woman was prepared to march into action.
